There is some confusion when we play St Anne's Castle in Great Leighs on Friday (27 June). On the posters in the gent's lav we are advertised as "Eddie Cafe"; but billed as "The Shed Heads" on the blackboard in the main bar. A small and select crowd are there, including band groupie RoseMarie, Mick & Joyce Wallis and Stuart, our driver. Oh yes we mustn't forget Vicky The Cleaner and "The Bum Cracks".
Vicky was definitely the star of the night and was worth the price of admission alone. To watch her dive headlong into Nick and his band mate, sending mic stands flying and everyone in the vicinity grabbing for their drinks to remove them from her path and then after she is helped back to her feet by Rosemarie and Keith, keep dancing as if nothing had happened was truly amazing. Whoah! The last we saw of her, she was heading off into the pub garden - I reckon to get her head down for the night.
Set list: How Come?; Debris; Kuschty Rye; One For The Road; Ooh La La; The Weight; Blue Moon of Kentucky [fast version]; Back In The USSR; Feel Like Making Love; I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For; These Boots Are Made For Walking. Encore: Stuck In The Middle With You.
